Futsal is played in more than 75 countries and on four continents by men and in at least 40 countries and on three continents by women. The Futsal World Cup adheres to the Olympic Movement Anti-Doping Code and, more concretely, they conduct tests outside of competitions, in accordance with the World Anti- Doping Agency (WADA), thereby meeting all of the requirements of the Olympic Charter.

The discord between the IOC and FIFA is the real reason for the big business of the Olympic Games. All of the rights belong to the IOC, and FIFA will not give its finest "product" to its events without a substantial financial gain. Thus, futsal is trapped in the economic power play.
