Added to favourites: 0 timesHigh performance sport is a problematic activity within the field of health promotion since by its nature there are two key risks (Devís and Peiró, 1992): control of its intensity and the possibility of injuries affecting the osteoarticular and muscular system.
Until recently, efforts were focused on the treatment of the trauma itself, paying attention to the therapeutic process from a clinical perspective (medical-therapeutic). Lately, interest has been directed towards the development of intervention strategies and proposals related to the prevention and rehabilitation of physical and sporting injuries from a bio-psycho-social perspective.
