With the modest intention to put my knowledge across gained over the years of being involved with different teams, coaches and of course goalkeepers, the great protagonists, I start my series of articles about a novel concept, THE TACTICS OF THE GOALKEEPER. For those of us who live these experiences day to day, and therefore, the needs of these players who "take their chances" literally in every one of their interventions, it is fair to try to give an objective focus on their actions that enriches their experience, offer them a reference on which to act and make decisions. And especially do not condemn them to ostracism of reward or punishment depending on whether they have conceded a goal or not.
