Levante UD DM was justly crowned champion of the Second Division in the 2013/14 season, beating Elche and Uruguay in the final sprint. After just two seasons in the silver category, the club has achieved a promotion which allows the city of Valencia to be able to enjoy again having a representative among the elite of Spanish futsal. Filling the void left when Armiñana Valencia were relegated from the top flight in 2008. The championship win is the first major success of the project launched a year ago, which saw the merger between Levante UD Dominicos and UPV Maristas. Turning the municipal pavilion of El Cabanyal into a fortress was key to the historic victory by Levante. Playing at home with good support, the club did not experience a single defeat at their own ground all season.
