Ours is a sport of transitions, of quick play and superiorities and inferiorities. On many occasions the issue of attack in these situations has been addressed, giving it the importance it actually has on performance during a match, but rarely is defence of these situations talked about, although it is as relevant.

In this talk, we will address this issue from the point of view of the fundamentals and understanding of play, looking to make the player and the coach see that they are able to understand the inner workings of our sport and that solving these situations is as simple as going to the concept.

Defending situations of 1x2, 2x3 or 1x3, are not very different from each other, with the main differences being the collective coordination of the players and with regards the distances and spaces involved. The basics are the same for all inferiority situations, and in mastering them we will be effective in any situation.
