Within the context of the half-pitch defensive positioning of a Brazilian futsal team participating in the National Futsal League, this article addresses the establishment and development of an offensive inductive behaviour that promotes structured counter-attacks. The team's spatial intelligence in determining the side on which they will take on the opponent (strong side), associated with the compressing and series of covers established as principles of action, favour thoroughly disarming the opponent, thereby decreasing physical exhaustion due to reduction of the effective area of defensive play and creating numeric advantages upon initiating the transition to offence.
